I am sorry, all our Angels and Saints are busy helping other sinners right now. However, your prayer is important to us and we will answer it in the order it was received. Please stay on the line.
Fortunately God does not treat us that way. He comes to the prophet Jeremiah and says: “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:3) God listens when we pray to him. Not only has God promised to listen to us but he has also promised to respond. He promises if we call He will answer. That answer is not always the one that we want. Sometimes God will reply and tell us “No! “You can’t have that” or he may say “Wait it’s not the right time.” We may not get the answer we want but we always get the answer God wants for us. He always answers in our best interests; even if we can’t understand that in the moment.
Jesus instructs us to ask, seek and knock in prayer: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). It’s not just a one-time request but an encouragement to ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking, and to knock and keep on knocking. Prayer is an ongoing relationship with our heavenly father who loves us; it’s not a one-time deal. The promise that Jesus makes to those who persevere in prayer is simple: “For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened” (Matthew 7:8).
God hears when we pray to him and he has promised to answer when we call, no voice mail!
